Iwas born in Inchon Korea and lived in Seoul until 1975 when our family immigrated to the States and settled in Huntington Beach.

For college I attended Cornell University and for theological training I received my M-Div from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California. During my seminary days, I served two churches; Choonhyun Mission Church and Full Gospel Los Angeles Church. After seminary, I worked with Cornerstone International Ministry while studying in Jerusalem, Israel. While there, I attended Hebrew University and received an MA in Religious Studies and started doctoral work in Biblical Hebrew.

One of the greatest events in my life was marrying my wife, Ji Hyun. We have two daughters born in Jerusalem; my daughters are Jerusalemite Israeli Korean American Christians. These three wonderful ladies are constant sources of joy and support for my life and ministry.

Now I’m so glad to serve KUMCGW as their Education Director as well as the College pastor. It’s a joy to be with this congregation and the wonderful staff.
