이현호 목사는 인천의 변두리에서 태어났습니다. 감리교신학대학과 동 대학원을 졸업하고 1992년 기독교대한감리회에서 목사 안수를 받았습니다. 육군 군목을 거쳐 강릉중앙교회와 영등포중앙교회에서 부목사로 목회하였습니다. 2001년 미국으로 건너와 버클리연합신학대학원에서 기독교 영성(MA & D. Min.)을 공부하였습니다. 2003년 여름부터 새크라멘토 향기로운교회에서 이민목회를 시작하여 4년 가까이 교회를 섬기다가, 2007년 7월부터 와싱톤한인교회를 섬기기 시작하였습니다. 혼자서 산책하고 책 읽고 글 쓰는 일을 좋아하는 반면, 어울려 하는 운동과 노래 부르기도 무척이나 좋아합니다. 때로는 ‘홀로’를 사랑하고 또 때로는 ‘함께’를 즐기듯이, 개인적 영성과 사회적 영성, 기도와 사회적 실천이 균형잡힌 목회를 추구하고 있습니다. 1990년 아내 이미연과 결혼하여 슬하에 지수(딸, 92년생)와 정인(아들, 94년생)을 두었습니다.

Rev. Hyun Ho Lee was born in a rural area of Incheon, Korea, in 1965. He received his bachelor (1988) and master (1991) degrees from Methodist Theological Seminary in Seoul, Korea. In 1992, he was ordained by Korean Methodist Church. After finishing the ministry as an army chaplain, he served as an associate pastor at KangNung Central Methodist Church and YoungDungPo Central Methodist Church. In 2001, he moved to Berkeley, CA, and majored in Christian spirituality (MA & D. Min.) at Graduate Theological Union. From 2003 he began his ministry at Fragrant Methodist Church in Sacramento, CA, until he was invited by the Korean United Methodist Church of Greater Washington in July, 2007.
Rev. Lee loves taking a walk, reading books, and writing as well as playing any kind of sports and singing along with people. Just like he loves ‘being alone’ on one hand and enjoys ‘being together’ on the other, he pursues balanced ministry between personal and social dimensions of spirituality. He was married to Mi Yeon Lee and has a daughter (Ji Su, born in 1992) and a son (Jeong In, 1994).
