I am Pastor Eumin! I am the Education
Director and Youth Pastor at KUMC of Greater Washington. I began working full-time at this church
in July of 1999, and my primary responsibilities include general oversight of the church school in
relation to vision and curriculum as well as preaching, teaching, leading all activities, and
providing pastoral care for the youth group. My vision and goal is to equip and empower all the
children to serve both church and world as a result of an intimate relationship to Jesus Christ
and a desire to serve Him. Several keys to reaching this goal include focus on worship, fellowship,
evangelism, service, and discipleship. My background has led me through a variety of places. Born
in Madison, NJ in 1971, the son of Rev. JoongUrn and AeSoon Kim, I am the younger of two siblings.
I graduated from Boston University in 1994, cum laude, with a B.A. in Psychology. After working
for one year in mental health, I entered Yale Divinity School and graduated in 1998 with a Master
of Divinity degree. I've worked in several Korean United Methodist Churches, the first being KUMC
of Greater New Haven as the education director and youth pastor. I also served at Mid-Hudson KUMC
as associate pastor, working with children's, youth, and college/young adult ministries. I am
happily married to Prumeh Lee who is a Ph.D. Student at the American University studying American
History. |
