Rev. Gordon Marchant began his ministry as our new Vision of Peace pastor on July 1, 2005. For the past six years, Rev. Marchant has been serving as the Pastor of English Ministry at Christ United Methodist Church in Honolulu, Hawaii, which is the first Korean church that was planted in America, attracting 1,000 people each Sunday. In addition to offering four worship services in Korean, the church offers three services in English.
Prior to Hawaii, Pastor Gordon served from 1992 to 1998 as the English Ministry Pastor at South Calgary Chinese Evangelical Free Church in Calgary, Canada. From 1985 to 1991, he was the Senior Pastor at a multi-ethnic Baptist church in Calgary, Canada, that also served a Filipino congregation.

Pastor Gordon received his Bachelor of Theology in 1981 from Northwest Baptist Theological College and Seminary in Vancouver, Canada, and his Master of Divinity in 1993 from Briercrest Biblical Seminary in Caronport, Canada. He is currently in the Doctor of Ministry program at Wesley Theological Seminary in the Multi-Ethnic Ministry tract.

Pastor Gordon is married to Aleta, and has three children: Brett (age 19), Bryson (age 18), and Catrina (age 10).
